Car rental Haida Gwaii

Hello I'm looking for ideas or info on renting vehicle on Haida Gwaii .

I've priced out through budget, Enterprise etc. But their prices are very expensive.
I talked to island car rental which has very reasonable prices but they are rent out for time I will be on the island . Im wondering if if anyone knows of locals that would rent their car to make a few extra bucks or some other options

I also have used this service when going to Hawaii. But I'm not going to Hawaii unfortunately.

I have rented on Haida Gwaii and all I can say is be prepared to pay "Island price".

When I lived in Masset, the contractors who came up would use https://www.massetrentacar.com/
I'm not sure if that is the island rent a car you were talking about.
You might check on Turo (https://turo.com/) for the dates you were looking for, but that is a bit of a long shot.

So expensive to rent on the island. Rental price, $1.85/liter gas & $0.35/km...

Honestly its cheaper to fly into rupert, rent a car and take the ferry across. Mind you I dont know car rental prices In Ruppert?

When i bring my truck i have a slip tank with 650 Liters of fuel in it. Saves me on diesel cost.
