When did that one come up ???? Does it replace Sentry Shoal that has been down for weeks. Its really annoying when a guy cant find a reliable report first thing in the morning fishing out of Comox. -- Chatam-- too far away, Mudge-- the keeper doesnt report until 8 am frequently, Lazo-- closed, Chrome Is-- not relevant with NW winds, Sisters-- often down too.

It first showed up a few weeks ago, we were returning from texada and passed it out in 1000’ water. Said what the heck is that doing out here?? Lol

Speaking of weather reports. Sandheads and East Point have been out all Summer! Sandheads in particular is a critical navigation location. Can't believe any repair can take that long...

re east pt, I few years ago it was broken, I got annoyed to keep hearing not available so I called the weather office. Gauge doesn't belong to weather office but another dept .. anyhoo, he said no one has complained so we weren't aware it was a concern. I explained the situation and presto it was fixed..

Apparently the Sentry Shoal Buoy was full of bullet holes when they went to repair it. I guess someone was doing some pinniped control.
