Any idea what the rope is made of. Is it a hard nylon or a softer rope that is easier to coil or pile up without getting all tangled?

Big difference between nylon, polyester and poly. If it doesn't sink it's probably not nylon or polyester. Still, even for poly it's a good deal for 1800 feet. I'd buy a bundle if you make it down to Victoria area at some point.
