Hell yes cuts to spending! Passive income still has been taxed, any money made is taxed, then when you try and spend it....taxed the **** out of. Problem is spending by all government levels out of control. A vote for the liberals is a vote for out of control spending and tax increases as well as a total end to fishing as we know it. It’s really that simple.

If you want to take advantage of this CPC tax break you will need to do this.
Setup an account with your stock broker and start putting in $100K of your after tax money into each year.
VIP make sure that the account is in the company name as this tax break is only for private corporations.
Do this for the next 10 years until that account accumulates over a million.
After that you can withdraw $50K a year tax free as long as you don't touch the principal. You will need it to generate that income.
That $50K is passive income.

Or you could just stick in a million, after tax money, into that account and collect $50K next year when Scheer wins one for the team. You got to keep the donors happy, after all they have the best politicians that money can buy.

Yes I have read the policy statements and the math to back it. It's true that Scheer wants to sprinkle some money here and there on what he calls "the working man" but he is more generous with his donors with that $50K tax free windfall that you seem to dismiss. It's a hard concept to understand that someone could take a million then buy a numbered company, off the shelf, then get $50K a year tax free.

Here is a summary of the tax breaks that I got off a CPC candidate website. Notice that they didn't include the tax break I'm commenting on ... wonder why?

As Prime Minister, Andrew Scheer will:

• Cancel Trudeau’s Carbon Tax
• Remove GST from home heating, saving households $107
• Make maternity benefits tax-free, providing up to $4,000 in tax savings
• Bring in a Green Public Transit Tax Credit, saving families hundreds – potentially thousands – of dollars

• Bring in the Children’s Fitness Tax Credit, saving parents up to $150
• Bring in the Children’s Arts and Learning Tax Credit, saving parents up to $75
• Boost the RESP, giving parents hundreds more for their children’s education

Corporations are your plumber, electrician, doctor, ect.
Hate to let you lefties in on this.....but with a small amount of paperwork you to can be a corporation and yes save for your retirement. No not everyone is a politician that works for four years and gets a life time pension from tax payers. Not everyone works for government and gets there pension contributions topped up by tax payers. Business owners don’t have pensions paid for by tax payers.
Another thing lefties you can invest your money in a tax free savings account and all the interest made is tax free and you can save a pile and have a good retirement fund tax free to do with what you wish.
These are good things for Canada lefties. It helps Canadians save for there own retirements so we aren’t a burden on our children. It helps fuel our economy with a higher standard of living in our golden years.
Tax tax tax to waste and leave the retired living on 600 dollars a month from cpp does nothing for Canada’s future.
Again if we do the simple math, let’s say the evil corporation all were so prosperous they could actually salt away 1 million of after TAX dollars away, which is in reality few and far between, and they decided to just give up the 50,000 dolllars to Justin cause he’s so awesome. THAT WOULD NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO COVERING THE NEXT 4 YEAR OF A JUSTIN GOVERMENT !!!!! That includes all the tax payed on the investment money, and interest.

I am fully aware that it is happening.
And was so long before many south of sixty ever were (going back to my time in the Arctic).
