Windfinder. I find the map is pretty accurate... ish.

If you using Windy make sure to go into the side menu, scroll all the way down, and switch the the 5km model. It doesn’t show as far into the future but it is much more accurate and granular. For some reason the app never remembers and you have to change your view each time. That said, play it safe out there!

There may be a 15 knot window in the afternoon and it's no problem to fade out to the cap. But hell ya no way I'm going out in that **** I'm way too soft and old for that.

I was down at Steveston and the first time (been here 20 yrs) I've seen any water breach a dock, new or used in the harbour , Its really blowing out there I bet

It’s also a decently high tide. Not saying it’s not blowing ... calm in English bay

what's this 5km model? Can't find it. Windy and windfinder have completely different forecasts for the next few days. Windy is showing >15 knot winds wheareas windfinder is showing half that value for the same date/time/location. Why is there such a huge difference?
