Scott is correct; the booms can be replaced, but the price from Scotty Repair Depots has gone up to $100 (perhaps Scotty in Sidney is still cheaper).
Scott's post for the used downriggers was originally posted in May '19 (w/o a picture). Looking at the DR picture, you can see they're +/- 25 years old (original 48" x 1"ø boom, thru-boom mounted rod holder, red brake handles w/original brake system using external adjustments, original pully & old style power plugs).
Assuming you are the original owner of your 1101 DRs, your warranty continues if you add new booms (no so with purchasing used DRs).
