Shovel Nose Louie

better pictures of plug and some things that are from the Doc's box, he kept a lot of loose lures in these Lilly snap boxes including scalpels. good enough for humans, equally so for fish....still very sharp!View attachment 48043 View attachment 48044
Very nice..Thanks for sharing.

Not sure what your plug is,was thinking maybe a altered Martin? Has a Tillicum looking paint pattern though so maybe Sea King.

perhaps a Frumento ? for rigging the seaking shovel, as Furnace Face says, just run it on the normal bead chain set up. For the smaller hole Sea Kings run a swivel and hook as you would on a pin pulled Tomic... Im not getting into a bidding war with him.. He needs all the help he can get :)

Thanks IMG_1969.JPG will see if I can find a pic of a Frumento and match it. I picked these Lyman's up today, 2 are shovel like rest are neat a flattie and a glass eyed fly rod model, some marked some not.

Yeah pretty sure it’s a Game Guide, I just found this in my stash and looks similar. Also found a flat face Louie style Game Guide also.

yeah it clearly matches, plus it came with a 'flattie" Phantom. also nice plugs Nootka, thanks for sharing.
so, going through some more stored plugs I came across this plug. it is unusual, looks like a Game Guide but has a gaff clip for hook and notched face w/scoop, any idea on this one?

cool, another B.C. plug confirmed. I have another neat plug that I will post later. another question has anyone fished a Minser 'stubbie' and what is it like? I have not seen much info on it.
