Trout report for lower Island lakes?

Anyone got any up to date info on how the trout fishing has been on lakes around Victoria lately (Aug-Sep 2019)?

Thanks!

Waiting for the temps to come down.

saw that....he's top of the leader board now. Good for him. Seems like Langford produces most of the big trout we see locally.

I've been fishing for Bass lately. My son has become a lover of Bass fishing.

Sorry for going dark -- got a nasty cold. We hit up Prospect two weeks ago, trolling woolly buggers with no luck. Then my 10 year old decides to try a big ol' spoon with a small flasher (overkill, IMHO) and immediately hooks up a nice rainbow. Like, well under a minute. The fish spit the hook at the boat so he tossed back in and hooked up again (maybe the same fish) in 15 seconds or so. We switched another rod over to a spoon and his little buddy got a nice bass on it before we packed it in (the ski boats came out).

63 F at Prospect today. A few hits, one small cut to the boat and freed to fight again. Off the water when the skiers started up and before the wind hit.

Glen was 63 on Thursday - pretty slow, but did catch one of the biggest I've got out of the lake (probably 17 or so) - nice looking fish and scrappy as hell. Mid to end October is usually when its lights out for me.

That’s a beautiful trout. Nice one!!
hey thx...its a funny lake - when its on, its just crazy non-stop, but hard to find size - my son still with the biggest at our house 18" 2 1/2 lbs - but this one was probably similar weight. Thick, and nicest looking I have caught out of there. BTW, that cold front dropped temps nicely - 60 degrees this morning so hopefully starts to pick up. It's a pain bailing the boat after every rain, but I love the fall fishing so worth it!

Flyfished Saturday beautiful windy sunny. Scored a 20”. Good fight. Good to eat. Strong winds blew me away tryin to land a good fish.

Went out for a p.m. fish. Slow trolled/stripped a couple of flies, (leech patterns) and caught 6. Lots of light bites. Kept one rainbow that swallowed the hook about 16" and released one beauty at 22". Deep line and intermediate line got equal action. Fish seen to be at all depths, surface temp. 52 degrees.
