Um they have caught 8 million pinks and they don't even know what rivers they belong too? is that seriously what im reading??

"
"It's unheard of, really," ADF&G's Elisabeth Fox told KDLG radio.

Typically, pink salmon return to the South Peninsula region in July and managers believe the earlier arrivals are not homing in on local streams.

"We don't know where these pinks are going," Fox said."

I guess we won’t have to ask if ours don’t show up. I thought dfo was screaming doom and gloom for the pinks this year? Same as Chinook, which all my boater friends are telling me it’s game on day after day in the Campbell River region. The more I hear forecast models from dfo the less I like and believe. Starting to think all these closures are wrapped up in Reconciliation. You know all that money the Liberals have been throwing around buying votes? What if all these closures are just another form of vote buying? The closures made somebody happy!
