Boat launch Lake Cowichan

Was wondering if the launch in the town of Caycuse is public or private. Saw a boat launch there the other day. The gate is closed at Caycuse camp site. The launch at Gordon's bay is open but to far to run. Any other boat launch's open closer to shaw and nixon ? Thanks

There's one behind the pub in youbou, not sure what's it like in the winter .

Just a heads up, I used the boat ramp yesterday behind the Youbou pub and it’s clear and open right now. I was chatting with a local there and they want people to park in the pub parking lot rather than on coon creek rd. Cheers

Any suggestions on where to park a truck and trailer for three days this weekend? (going to spend the weekend on the lake).

Looks like the parking lot at the public boat launch in town (next to the weir) is tiny.

Nevermind. Turns out I can pay and park at the marina the Island Houseboats compay is located at.
