DFO handed out THE choochiest devices ever to us last season. Couldn't get it to work and only saw it work ONCE.
Used the Seaqualizer one season and it worked fine. Well, the fish went down...

I use the Seaquilizes as well..... but lost one first time out... don't trust the standard cable clip it comes with... if the fish weighs enough.... then when it pulls upward on the clip it can come off.... I use a secondary snap now on a short cable...... but the thing does work great.

I don't know if they are still doing it, but Harbour Chandler in Nanaimo was giving out standard discounts on Seaqualizers. I think they were $15.00 off the regular price.

Got back from NISFAC meeting. Descending devices will be the law in 2019.

used it on one of the HP Riggers for release,
highly recommended
