Sandheads yesterday am. rough out there. Followed the tideline out to the middle of the straight. Steady action with a few Sox's, coho and springs on sox gear till noon. Returned to sandhead and slow till 5 PM and then sox turned on 25 and 35 ft was our depths. It's getting better. Should be a few good days coming

Sailflow says 13 gust to 18knt till around 4 then ease down to 9knt. Anyone know how busy mcdonald lauch is in the morning? Debating on headin out tomorow.

Was planning on making the run to sandheads but all these wind reports are putting a damper on the mood....hoping tomorrow is a bit lighter. Got a nice coho yesterday on the west van shoreline - right at the can. Had another on the line but we couldn't get it in the boat....

It’s not bad out at sandheads and calming down. Maybe a one foot chop now. Lots of boats. Have seen 3 caught but none for us yet
Thanks for that report. Looks like we're going to wait it out for tomorrow.

It's not bad out here guys. If your thinking of doing the afternoon shift.

What's everyone's take on the huge tides right now as far as affecting the fishing at the mouth? Tides flooding tommorow from noon till 8pm.
large ebb plus river current against 10-20 NW make for a terrible chop out in 300-500', so I like to stay away from the river water and the current W of sand heads

Got the lines down at 5pm, fished till 8pm. Nothing, not even a hit. Sandheads

Ya died right off on the high. Wind and current slacked off and the jumpers and biters did also. Was a bit of a bite earlier, we hit 8 or 10 throughout the day but only landed 2. Most hits were a really quick touch that weren’t hooking up, that 1 bob of the rod and gone
