Sockeye in Porlier Pass

I think you'll need to leave the pass and get closer to the Fraser, but maybe only a few miles.

Have caught the occasional sockeye over the years in retention years on the bottom end of the ebb tide but definitely the place to go is closer to the Frasers on the flood tides.

I used to fish close to the mud line where there muddy Fraser water meets the clear water and always had good success.

Its only about 15 miles across to the airport, or 17 to sandheads from Porlier. I came across on the ferry to swartz bay wednesday evening/afternoon from Tsawassen and saw no jumpers, but if you are traveling across and see them jump you could find a nice fresh school of biting Adams river fish and have them all to yourselves out mid straight.
