Vladivostok is the closest port (+ or -) so I figured Coho but the tails looks smaller somehow-maybe Masu Salmon?

They sure are fat.

I have wondered for years what the salmon fishing is like over in Russia,, miles of almost barren coast line along the Paccific over there.

Looks pretty good from what I can see-other videos show the skyline of Vladivostok in the background and people are nailing one after another.

Apperance and feisty like a Coho but can’t say for sure.
Been to Russia on a couple trips and never seen any boats or gear that looked that nice or well looked after.
