New regs? or something thats always been in place?

Up in Nootka there is always closures. This year looks to be more than usual.

Up in our area (27/127) this has been the norm for the last few years, before that, it was more restrictive, no chinook retention inside Cliff Point, over and under out to the Surfline, and 77cm max in Brooks Bay. One year we had 5 different areas for chinook and coho between the Surfline and Cliff Point, made it extremely difficult for the Guys who fish in their own boats.

Been fishing Nootka for 15 years and I don't see much change but I would differ to the guides that work that area. The one change that I have seen over the years is that part of Tahsis Inlet that we can fish now. Great place to fish when the wind kicks up. With so many rules to follow I just print out these two PDFs so I have them on the boat to refer to. Would be interested what others with greater knowledge have to say.
