Re powering my 16’ double eagle.

The time has finally come to re power the boat. The old 60hp Johnson packed it in. Going against the grain and buying a Tohatsu TLDI 90hp. Take delivery late this week. Can’t wait to get back out on the water. Boat should do in excess of 50mph with little fuel burn

Curious what were the draws that made you choose Tohatsu?
Considerably cheaper. ( price includes controls, prop, water fuel separator, and full 5 year warranty), my love of 2 strokes and hate for BRP/Evinrude/ mercury. Also I don’t like following the “pack”. Maybe that’s why I seem to do well fishing lol. I bought a 9.8 Tohatsu for a kicker last year and have been very happy with it. They are the largest outboard manufacturer in the world. Tohatsu builds outboards for Merc, Honda and I’m think Yamaha.
