Exact same geologic conditions off VI coast as Japan - so its a matter of when not if. That said, all we can do is be prepared and practice surfing 27 foot boats on large waves.

One of the risks with living in one of the best places on earth I suppose - I wouldnt move or change anything in my opinion, other than try and be prepared.

What a stupid article. Media must be bored. All this is heading for is a propaganda induced spike in insurance, and certain special interest groups or companies making a buck. Oh lets not forget our "Emergency Preparedness" strategy team on the municipal,provincial and federal level they will all be at the trough.

When it happens, if it happens if a place like Haiti where they barely have shoes to begin with can survive surely the citizens of Vancouver Island can. I believe your smartphone will probably still pick up WiFi to watch the "News" on.
