Fishing Shuswap lake

Hey we have a cabin on the Shuswap arm of the lake. I was wondering if anyone had an information on fishing near eagle bay. I have fished the last 2 mornings but have only had a knockoff. I have been using a 8 oz slip weight with a flasher and an apex lure. I am not asking for your honey hole but just want to catch a fish or 2. Thanks

I grew up in Eagle Bay in the summers at my grandparents house. Back in the day there was a nice mix of kokanee and small rainbow.

It was a gang troll fishery in front of a pink wedding band and worm or a small pink spoon (dick nite).

Otherwise, if you want big rainbow it was plugs all the way either on the surface out deep in early morning and late evening or deep on downriggers during the day.

Things may be different now as its been 30 years.

Especially in the heat of summer, most fishing is morning and evening and fairly close to shore off points and in bays. We just used a couple ounce slip waits as the fish would be feeding heavy at these times on surface bugs.
