Hey all,

I moved here to Kelowna in september and now that its warming up i want to hit up some fly fishing spots. Can anyone tell me some spots to go and what to use ? i have also started tieing my own flies and was wondering if anyone could tell me what types are popular out here and what colours to use for that.

Thanks all,

Tight lines.

Matt

Where to start? If you have a boat try around the mouths of creeks such as Bear on the west side of the lake. Once the ice is off the higher lakes you will be kept busy. Turn off the highway in Winfield on to the Beaver Lake Road, it follows the Aberdeen plateau to Highway 6 east 0f Vernon. That area is covered in prime spots. The 97 connector has also opened up access to a number of lakes.
