Not in BC this weekend but I did get out for a quick fish with a friend on Sun. We ran down to Westport WA and fished the beaches near the S. jetty. Cut plug herring, doused in anchovy sauce and run behind a diver was the ticket. I got a spring around 20lb, my buddy got one around 15lbs. Here's a picture of the larger one.

Good work! Its been a while since I fished a diver for chinooks. Just goes to show that what is old will still work years after a person has lost the item in the bottom of the tackle box. 15 yrs ago I fished out of the Golden Gate in California. No down riggers there, mooching or trolling a spoon behind a spring release with a 2 lb ball. With the price of lead the way it is now-- that would get mighty expensive !!!
