Due to a major life style change I'm looking for adventure/mobility
on a cheaper level. I don't mind the rough. I have bought cheap tents
in the past but after a good wind they had problems with broken suports etc.
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas, I would prefer to be able to stand up in itI'm not looking for a back packable unit, something comfortable with room. Or some camping forums that might help?

Made by hand in Timmins ON.

These are made right in BC, hard to beat. Probably one of the best quality tents in the market. If your not packing it invest in a frame regardless of what size you go with. I’ve ran a few different ones over the years I now run 1 14 x 16 for a bunk house and 1 10 x 12 for a kitchen. The secret to making them last is drying them properly when your done. Hang them in a garage some place dry and heated for a couple days, do not pack them away wet or damp.

I’ve got a Eureka Copper Canyon 1512 that has 180 square feet and sleeps 12 people. Used it twice. Lots of standing room. Paid about $500. You can have it for $150.

Good deal Saxe Point but I'm leaning towards canvas shell. My dad had a hunting guiding
company when I was young and everthing was packed by horse through the worst conditions
and the canvas lasted for many years. Canvis needs to be looked after though we used to dry it out
proprely or they rotted in storage And squirrlse where a problem as well.

I have both the 2 person and the solo Redverz tents

Simply brilliant tents, buy the awning kits and the footprints

I am 6'4" and it is nice to be able to stand up inside the tent , We never use the garage for a motorcycle but it is a great place to sit , get dressed and to store things out of the weather.

I have been in Wyoming in a big wind where our tent was still standing and we were dry after a significant storm that had the majority of people packing up and leaving in the night.

I would also suggest you look at Helinox chairs, cots and tables https://helinox.com/

Happy Trails
