Dock fishing from Willis Point(Brentwood Bay)

Will soon be dock fishing from the North End of Willis Point. Wondering what species would be possible to catch, also what type of fishing would work. Would prawn/crab traps work? Thanks

Can't see a dock at Willis Point near town of Brentwood Bay.

Crabbed off end of Saanich Public Dock in Brentwood Bay last January for 2.5 hrs at high tide, turkey necks for bait, 10 small Dungeness, 1 legal Red Rock but only one claw so went back.

It’s a private dock on resident property at the north tip of Willis point.

If you can go over to Brentwood Bay and rent a kayak and try from the water. It will up your odds

You might get a Lingcod or assorted rockfish, cast a buzz bomb (polar bear) and jig it back in You may surprise us all. Crabs will be there but to shallow for prawns but may be good for shrimp. Give it a try and report back with your address hehe.

Super late reply. Ended up catching lots of rockfish as well as either costal cutthroat or some sort of salmon, all fairly small about the size of hatchery trout.
