Maybe use 3/4 starboard? I’m thinking why bother with marine plywood unless you fully encase in glass and then you just have another poopy job....

don’t like poopy jobs haha thx for the reminder

Hey can anyone shed some info as to what this filler piece is commonly made from and how thick might it be...?

View attachment 55733

Mine was remade at rebuild - several thicknesses of marine ply, with the outside faces mahogany veneer [including the face into the cockpit. My cockpit is finished wood also. For practicality, fiberglass might be better [no refinishing]. I can measure thickness, but its too dark right now.

Had a good productive day :)

- I got the windshield bolted down with homemade T-bolds from SS 1/4" x 2" carriage bolts, I couldn’t find them anywhere to purchase. I used backing so no pull throughs, bolts need to be zipped off :) 1 1/4" fender washers with nylon self-locking nuts. 5 bolts per section, 15 fastening points in total
- V-berth bulkhead scribed to fit and gel'ed in the areas that I will not have access to once installed.

Sweet. Whats your plan for a headliner? You may want to get that installed before cinching down those carriage bolts.

no plans for head liner right now, focusing on all essential items, will add the bells as money is available until them she be just gel :) bolts are cinched down...

I’d Metal Flake the whole thing and go with that 70’s ski boat groovy vibe. Then a plush velour interior and a half moon side window for the bathroom.
I like this. And those dangly balls around the windows. Chain steering wheel

Don't forget striper pole and mirror ball

You’ve sanded, wet sanded, filled, sanded etc etc enough for a lifetime Robert. Beautiful work.

... enough for a least one life time for sure, if not two
