I have a fish bonker that is too small and light... takes too many whacks to get the job done... I am ordering a few things from an online tackle shop and want to order a fish wacker/bonker to properly do the job so as to be more humane in the manner in which the fish are handled. The 2 that I saw were different in shape and weight. The first one is a smaller sized aluminum fish bat.. weights approx. 10oz(0.6 lbs) and the other one is a club that is 18oz(1.1 lbs). The aluminum bat while lighter makes up for it by allowing you to swing faster to get a good thump. The heavier 180z fish wacker won't swing as fast but is heavy so should do the job as well. Do you prefer a lighter fish wacker to wack with good speed or a heavier one that carries a punch behind it? Not trying to make this a rocket science experiment.. Just want to find a better way to knock out the fish in the most humane way possible..
