anyone still using these reels??? I'm looking for a couple of used ones. anyone upgrading and looking to sell
one or two.

Try to get the ones with the gold/yellow trim ring, not the red ones.
Apparently the red trim indicates gen1.

I have 1 of the Gen 2 reels in great shape and 2 of the Gen 1 reels that need repairs and parts.
The problem with the Gen 1 reels is the bronze interior gear and the anti reverse pawl wear out and stop working.
This was corrected in the Gen 2 reel to a steel gear and steel pawl. Very hard to find parts. I may have to get a
machinist to make some parts for me.
I'm also in the process of upgrading the drag washers.
