East Barriere Lake

from the B.C. Fishing Freshwater Directory and atlas, circa 2002; "Rbs to 3 kg.. Lake Trout, Kokanee, Wkitefish, Burbot. Mostly trolling. elevation is only 1900'.
I don't think it is stocked at all.
Take a thermometer with you and find the surface water temp. All Action will be below the surface, so try early morning with a blue/silver Kwikfish K-7 to imitate minnows.

I used to troll Dick Nite spoons around in there to catch Kokanee, they were plentiful but very small (10 - 12 inches). A few times while doing so I caught burbot. Burbot are one delicious fish, let me tell you.

45 years ago we caught numerous small kokanee in East Barriere and took a canoe to South Barriere to catch numerous small rainbow.

There seems to be a hole in reports regarding this lake and the others in the area. North Barriere, Bonaparte the same. no stocking.
