Anybody heard anything about the fishing at Salmon Lake.? Heard they had a bad summer kill last year.
I know fisheries dumped a good number of fingerlings and some catchables in last fall.
We actually had good fishing last year in June but I was concerned about the die off in September. I was told however that it was similar to the the previous year so wasn’t a big concern, fingers crossed.
I did just hear there was no water kill which is good news.
Partial kills can be a very good thing, as the lake comes back into balance there's a surge in readily available food...especially fresh water shrimp. The fish that survive are typically stronger and they get fat fast with less competition for food.
