Leader Advice

Hoping to head out to test the boat out this weekend and with any luck were are going to try to troll around tent island for winter springs, Just wondering if any of the local guys have some knowledge to whether we should shorten our leaders or not, we normally shorten them in the winter when fishing for winter springs but I wasn't sure if there were still transient fish coming through and we should keep them at normal summer length.

Cheers,

Mike

I would go short 24-36 inches. Smarter people might have better advice.

Not a lot of winters currently in south island waters.
36" leader to glow squirts and small spoons usually work well.
