Sportfishing BC's regular columnist, Ernie Fedoruk scored strongly in this year's Northwest Outdoor Writers Association's Communication Awards. Winners were announced early May during NOWA's annual convention at Oregon's Flying M Ranch south of Portland. Fedoruk's 1999 story in Sportfishing BC, The Whale Story, earned him second place in NOWA's Electronic Publishing category.
