Anyone out there have any of these kicking around you might want to part with? I can't remember the guy's name who used to produce them, i believe they were made on the island. Thanks in advance and good luck out there!

Was just there on the weekend. Lol. Yes the fishing was great. Probably be back after the long weekend if you can wait.

Gordie Robinson from Sooke...his daughter Tara had a book out....How to Catch Big Fish
I remember, as a young teenager in the ‘80s, watching an episode of Fishing the West, when they took out Larry Schoenborn. As a teen in the lower mainland who was obsessed with fishing, Port Alberni seemed like Mecca. We only mooched with live herring, and trolling was completely foreign, so to watch them do it without downriggers (lead weights they removed once close to the fish) was a an eye-opener for me. I thought it was so neat they washed their hands with toothpaste before handling the gear.
