I was thinking about taking my kid to spider lake this week to get her into a couple of Smallmouth and just wanted to check for any reports. Anyone catch'n?
Don't know about Spider right now but I hit two smallies at Thetis the other day. They are sitting really shallow as they are looking for nesting spots. Lots of action at Elk too. I talked to a guy who caught eight there today. I imagine Spider is hot too. Should make for a good outing.
Did ok once she started seeing the take she hooked three. They we soft takes, maybe the cold water? Beutiful day. No wind lots of sun screen and mister twister jigs. [8D]
