Any reports from Sarita Lake, or any of the Alberni/East Cowichan lakes? Looking for a little change while I'm potentially boat-less untill the early spring.

I tried to research it to do a trip there but didnt find much or end up going. Its pretty big but i was told by someone that worts there that there are some nice fish in there and they drop out of the lake into the river. Seen some big cutts in the flow

sarita does have some nice fish in it but the best spot is accessible by boat, straight accross from the campsite there is a creek that comes in to the lake, last i heard the campsite is tore up pretty good from last years storms, and i dont know if they fixed it or not, the sarita river produces as well (the odd steely as well)

Checked out the Sarita this morning and afternoon.
Saw maybe 7 fish but they were all rotting alive!

I'm not lookin for salmon, I'm looking for some late fall action from the beach. Well, I'll putter up there one weekend, really like the lake, and the drive makes you apreciate it.

I dropped in on Sarita last year and caught one 12 incher on my pontoon boat. Didn't see any other fish. Wasn't overly impressed but maybe I'm a just a crappy fisherman.
