Red Snapper/Yelloweye/

This is probably treasured information and guarded carefully,but it never hurts to ask. I fish out of comox and am wondering if anyone is willing to give up some spots that hold decent sized red snapper.I remember as a kid getting Big ones off of the Blubber bay light .That was in the 70's mind you.I moved back to the coast 5 years ago and have not yet found a good area for these fish. Any suggestions would be appreciated

You might try in the abyss off the KC hump. I know of several nice ones that have been taken there. Might also bump into a halibut too.

Thanks Cuba: Have been wondering about that myself.Kinda half expected I might accidentally hook a halibut while scratching bottom for Chinook. I usually get one or two like that wen fishing 7 mile out of bamfield. I will likely give kitty it a try if I can get out there in the near future.
