Putting outboards on a stern drive

I'm considering putting outboards on my 28' fly bridge. I presently have two Volvo 4.3 with SXs drives. After some research I've found that stern drives already have a beefy transom and that preformed brackets are sold for this purpose ( and some even have flotation chambers to counteract the weight moving aft ) of putting OBs a little further behind the boat so the props are in undisturbed water and get better mileage.

But I'm worried about this affecting the boats trim and wonder if anyone knows a professional who's done this sort of thing before to do it for me?

Does anyone know anyone preferably in the lower mainland?

Has anyone done it themselves?

Lots of threads on this, the search function will help you. The key word you want is 'pod'.
