Thanks for your suggestions guys,but I don't think I thought this through enough before posting,my wife was all excited about the idea of spending summers travelling the coast.Working on boats all my life and owning numerous boats over the years has made me very particular about what I buy.An old boat can quickly become a money pit where you wonder why you didn't buy something newer and save all the grief of chasing problems.The older you get the more you appreciate reliability ,quality and comfort. The Boat Club I'm in is a great asset (and cheap Moorage) but it's size restrictions prevent me from buying a suitable boat.So until I can afford a newer boat and get a slip in a different marina ,I'll hold off.
