Ummm.... Nope!
This Laddie was a Primo, bottle fed "pet" who's been chowing down on high quality grain to supplement his free ranging foraging for quite a few months now. Marbling is extensive, as is the fat layer pretty well covering the entire carcass. Doesn't get any better Quality!
So, we'll be maximizing the table fare cuts from him right soon now. Racks of lamb, chops, shoulder roasts, legs and ribs. The little balance remaining will be going into a special batch of sausage (mixed with young dry whitetail doe, a smidgeon of pork, fresh spinach & feta amongst other carefully selected spices). Highly unlikely any of that will be seeing the smoker methinks...
He was born late last spring so would have been ~ 8.5 - 9 months old. His mother refused him, thus the bottle feeding. Just about the right age to maximize size, yet still yield Tender Vittles!
