Local Flooding

Ya I don't think any route is going to open to non essential traffic anytime soon. Need to keep our products shipping in/out of the province/country.

Rail movement by CP and CN is a trickle at best.
Barely any movement still through the canyon.
Yeah. The port guys are in the panic mode. There’s barely any movement and it could be another couple of weeks for CN or CP to get back on a planned schedule.

Have a friend who’s working on the repairs for highway 5 the coq.

they used thousands of lock blocks for the bridge abutments, shortened the spans, back filled, put on the bridge decks on the lock blocks. Paving the bridge approaches starts this Sunday.

dec 17 is the deadline for all the paving to be completed.

This guy posts videos everyday of the work being done

Amazing efforts to get the Coq usable by the end of this month. Poor old Hope Princeton needs a break, not that it will get one.

Impressive work. Poor old Hope Princeton can take a breather now. I guess springtime before they can repair the damage it took from the unaccustomed traffic.

Depressing ain't it ? and I love this statement from the article .. "Additional public funds are sometimes spent on massive flood protection works to protect vulnerable neighbourhoods after the fact. " And who pays ??
