Morning, so Im bored at work and am planning my boat vacation...lol.

Looking to hit up Douglas Channel in My KF 1825. I have scoured this forum and i feel i got some decent locations for trying out for chinook, Halibut and Crab (Truly everyone is great for helping us Newbs out, Thank you).

I do have a couple questions i could use help with.

1. We plan on camping on the boat, at Bishop Bay - is there any thing special you need to do to book it?
2. Is this time of year to late for Chinook in the channel?
3. any good tips for salmon, Hali rigs that work well in there? ( I have quite a few options, but i always love buying more ;) )

Thank you in advance guys, i will share the success stories and pictures.
PS. Plan on hitting up Rennell sound in 2024

Bishop bay is just a dock can’t book it just tie up if there is room
Closest fuel is Hartley bay (sometimes) or back to kitimat
Crab are in every bay up the Douglas
There will still be lots of chinooks and halibut should be good

Is there no chinook closure there? Just wondering as Region 4 is usually closed for retention past June 15th.

Thank you Bryce, will the chinook be closer to Kitimat this time of year? Like fish Jesse Falls and Clio Bay/Point?
