Insuring Two Vehicles Question

With the price of diesel, I'm thinking about retiring my Ram 3500 from the daily commute. I'll still keep it for towing the boat, camping, cabin trips, etc.. Right now I'm spending about $1200 a month on diesel and averaging $5,000 a year in maintenance so it's time to put less KM on it.

I'd like to get into a small van like a Ford Transit or maybe a little hybrid for daily commuting. Is there any cost savings ways to make insurance cheaper for two vehicles? Only one vehicle would be driving at any given moment. Or would I just put recreational insurance on the Ram and to/from work insurance on the commuter vehicle?

When the Ram comes up for insurance , Pleasure only take a picture of your mileage and next time you renew if KMs under 5k for the year you will receive a discount. It takes a year but worth it .
