Help with Scotty

I cant seem to find a link on their web page to tell Scotty about my downrigger problem. And that is, when dropping the lead ball the rigger peels off line ok to start but then slowly grinds to a stop somewhere around 120 feet. Now I must pull the line off the spool.

It was serviced by Scotty two years ago, and that is one of the best after market services ever! However, I need a little help with my current problem.

Thanks, Tom

Its almost definately the pully at the end of the boom needs to be replaced.

Fill the dam tub!

Or the line is wrapped over @ around 120ft(from one of those random loose loops). Have a look on land?

( yes only read the first 2 sentences [)] )

And if its wrapped the gaff is a good tool ;)

:D

Check your sounder…you're probably fishing in 120ft of water!;)

Your brakes might need servicing and/or the pulley replaced. I'd take it in to Scotty for a tune up. Those guys are great. Excellent service.

"off line ok to start but then slowly grinds to a stop somewhere around 120 feet."

That sounds like braid?
