Hatchery conditions linked to lower steelhead trout survival

Yet another issue fisheries bios and researchers have known about for decades (ie significantly lower fitness, very poor spawning/recruitment success, etc) so not surprised to see epigenetic links and the rapid degradation within two spawning cycles. Sad that folks still dont want to accept these facts and wanna pump out more hatchery rejects. But, I suppose, fixing mistakes with bigger mistakes is the human way!
