I lived there for 28 years and fished it all the time. It is a great little lake. I fly fished it. I learned to cast on that lake. Bober fished it with worms and power bait from the dock as well.

To bad to Coach House is no longer there because of the great hot wings...Plus the thighs and breasts were some thing to look at after a day of fishing. Them were the days..

No more Coach House:(.............the memories.

I have to get over to Van more often.

The Fraser Valley Trout Hatchery last stocked Rice Lake with Fraser Valley rainbow trout at catchable size (300g) a few days before Fathers Day. A couple hundred more fish were also released on Fathers Day during the family fishing event by the Seymour Salmonid Society. No additional stockings are expected until mid September when the weather cools down again, so fishing will taper off as the weather gets hotter but you should still find a few more fish. Good luck.
