Just saw the agenda for the CRD Parks Committee meeting
scheduled for Wednesday April 21. There is a bylaw
submitted to amend the Park Management Plan. This is
in relation to two items: alter plan to accomodate the
Rowing Centre expansion (the current plan does not allow
for this addition) and alter the description and maps re
buoys on the lake. They will now only recognize the
Transport Canada 10HP buoys - any previous reference to
VRS and/or rowing buoys and maps showing VRS rowing
buoys will be eliminated. Check it out at the CRD web-
site / www.crd.bc.ca Go to 'reports' and then find
'Regional Parks Committee' , '2010' and then scroll
down to the subject.
Don't know what this all means for us in regard to
getting all of those illegal rowing buoys off the lake.
