Elk/Beaver Lake Recreational Use Advisory Group

[Silver Streak]

The Elk/Beaver Lake Recreational Use Advisory Group is an advisory
body to CRD Parks and was formed in 1993 to address recreational
use conflicts on the lake. It is made up of representatives of
the variouis lake use activities and the public. Membership
currently consists of (one rep for each position):

Haig-Brown Flyfishing Association Ron Zeilstra
Waterskiers Kelly Owens
Swimmers Stan Anderson
Adjacent Landowners John Alexander
Public Representative Dave Clark
Public Representative Dennis Grimmer
Public Representative Barry Proud

The Group meets at least once per year. The last meeting was
November 16, 2009 and another is planned for the near future
(probably May sometime). Meetings are held at the CRD Parks
Headquarters @ 490 Atkins Avenue. Meetings are open to the
public although you are not guaranteed an opportunity to
speak (only at the discretion of the chair). I will keep all
informed re the date of next meeting and agenda items. It
would be beneficial if a good turnout of anglers showed up.
