Does anyone know a wood carver in the LM

Hey All,

Trying to find somewhere to get a nice "decorative" stump done or from a carver?

Hopefully in the lower mainland. Need it to widen out at the base as it's going to be stablizing a rather heavy glass top. My gal sold a home for one of the wealthier in Vancouver who has donated it.

Thanks for any ideas.

Jesse Toso is a friend of ours. He does some amazing work and happily takes on projects like what you've described.

He has a gallery on Commercial Drive and his workshop is in the 1000 Parker building that is part of the Culture Crawl.

We had a cedar tree removed from our backyard and we kept the wood for furniture making. Jesse processed the wood in our yard and has been making furniture in his shop. This table was made from the base of our tree where the wood was rotten in the middle (typical for cedar). He's part way through making a live edge dining table for us with one of the slabs. image1.jpeg P1040888.JPG
