Here you go...the price to pay for running a derby...the "me too" clause kicks in to allow a commercial fishery...let's just pray the big spawning chinook somehow avoid the nets - could see this one coming a country mile away...sorry feeling a little betrayed for all the efforts to release large over 77 cm fish only to have this happen...not happy at the moment.

Yes, I'm sure chinook released from gillnets will do just fine...
yeah, right!

And no requirement for revival boxes........................................

Could go into a debate but would rather just say don't shop at any Jim Pattison supported, owned affiliated business and you will make more of an impact than complaining on here. Or the conspiracy theories can begin. Big business and government are in no way padding each other's wallets on this one eh...no way!

Please

ridiculous.

There was a vote on this?

How is the hatchery stock?
Is there a concern about not having enough brood stock?

pretty frustrating ,
especially when most of us are were ok with the reg
no wonder no one gets involved , they do what they want even when the writing is on the wall

brutal decision for the derby , politics prevails
no wonder most give up....

This opening decision is insane. I have to admit I didn't understand the last decision to allow over 77cm in time for the derby either. It is quite discouraging after we supported the restriction to improve returning spawners.
