Changing the impeller on a Honda 115

Has anyone changed the impeller themselves? Would like some imput as to how to break the lower unit loose on the motor. Don't want to use more force than necessary.
 
shouldn't have to break it loose, did you get the bolt under the cavitation plate? also you need to disconnect shift shaft nut.
if necessary you can tap the lower unit with a rubber mallet to persuade
make sure the unit is supported in case it drops suddenly, you don't want to damage the skeg.
 
I've got an 03 115 Honda. There wasn't a need to disconnect the ****f shaft but after removing all of the bolts I needed a rubber mallet to loosen the lower unit. Otherwise it was a standard impeller change.
 
Thanks for the info. I was able to persuade it and finished the job and it's working great.
