Campbell river fishing

Hi im thinking of heading up to campbell river some time with in the next 3 weeks to do some river fishing and casting from the peir there. just woundering if any one has been catching any salmon in the river or the peir. any good lures? are the pinks going to show up there?

nice, could i catch them off spinning gear, like a float 5' of line and a piece of yarn? all i have is 2 casting rods and lots of gear. and have any salmon been landed off the peir there?
