I was switching out my prop and had a hard time getting the thrust washer off the back of the prop. It was the original aluminum prop that came with the engine, only 60hrs.. when I finally did get it off.. it had a hard coating of salt on the surface that mates with the prop. Is this normal? Should this interface be greased?
