Looking so forward to getting out. Purchased a "new to me" 19.5 older Bayliner which if the wife approves will soon be named 10 More Minutes. I was able to grab a couple of older crab pots so pretending I am finally dialed in for July launch and we drop the pots and then head out and do some trolling then return and pots haven't been stolen and have crabs in them. How does one go about transporting them back to chilliwack to boil them up. Is it ok to leave them in a cooler live or is that illegal? Or a better suggestion maybe?

In a cooler with ice (no fresh water) is fine and legal to transport.

However there'll be few legal Crabs left to harvest @ that time catch rates for legals plummet once commercial season opens.

They should be kept cool and damp and they will stay alive for 24hrs easily. I'd avoid putting them in direct contact with the ice though - I wrap in cloth/towel or burlap soaked with saltwater and in a cooler with Ice or ice packs.
